From the hair dresser to the florist everything was perfect, waking up the morning of the wedding to my beautiful bouquet is something I will never forget. We only saw our wedding venue online so had to have full trust in Carol’s recommendations and soo happy we did. The reception was again only seen in pictures but with Carols reassurance we knew it would be perfect! Emma & Rob are what they call couple goals. Together since forever, they have grown into becoming two amazing personalities together. Their wedding could only represent that. Laid back, happy, filled with love and oh-so-stylish! The ideal couple for a Kefalonia Wedding!

Their wedding location, villa Maravillosa, was simply THE backdrop for their event. This Historical, Kefalonian, pre-earthquake elite, rustic, traditional house has a character of its own. It complimented and  accented every single decorative detail.

The ceremony was out of this world. The guests boarded a boat early in the morning and were taken to the most spectacular chapel, right on the water. The views were just breathtaking. The scenery there, magical. Fit for a magical Kefalonia wedding. A sea wood arch, decorated with peonies, David Austen garden roses and wildflowers in stunning color combinations. Benetatos Flowers outdid themselves. With that and the water as a backdrop, what did these two need?

The guests are settled in their seats, Rob awaits anxiously with Len, the celebrant. Then the speedboat arrives, bringing Emma and her bridesmaids. She looks simply stunning! Wildflowers and peonies on a wreath make her face glow, while her bouquet reflects her: colorful, playful, beautiful. The perfect Kefalonia bride.

The “I dos” were heard, tears were shed and then… time for legalities! This family managed to take the most boring part of a wedding and make it fun! They all raided the town hall and witnessed the signatures and their official declaration as husband and wife! Lovely!

Cotton Candy, their amazing photographer, took them on a private photo shoot, featuring what else? A vintage American Beetle, decorated with wildflowers. The images speak for themselves, don’t they? This Kefalonia Wedding had the perfect background!

The reception was something out of a fairy tale. Fairy lights twinkled and glowed, lanterns moved with the wind, colorful wildflowers set the tone and all that in the gorgeous backyard of a traditional Kefalonian mansion.

This reception setting comes to show that all you need is a good sense of taste and the ability to express yourself. Bamboo chairs, wooden tables, golden cutlery, a vintage photo booth, colors, love and style. What else?

One of the most beautiful moments in this Kefalonia wedding was the cake cutting. A chocolate naked sponge cake, decorated with fruits and flowers. Dina’s really created a work of art there, reflecting the style of Emma and Rob. And the flavor? Even better than the looks, if that is possible.

They had an amazing time that night. The jazz duo by SMAILIS? set the mood, the food by Mythos Catering was amazing, spirits were high. A highlight? When the bride’s brother sang their first dance song. Not a dry eye in the house.
